The day is Guruwar (Thursday) and the Ashtami Tithi will conclude at 3:21 pm, followed by Shukla Paksha Navami Tithi which will start and remain till 5:31 pm, January 22. The sunrise will take place at 7.14 am and the sunset will be marked at 5.51 pm. The day also marks the beginning of Shakambhari Navaratri which starts on Paush Shukla Ashtami, also known as Pausha Banada Ashtami, and ends on the full moon day of Paush Maas.

After this, Bharani Nakshatra will start and remain till 6:08 pm on January 22. The sun will remain in Makar (Caparicorn) Rashi, while the moon will be in Mesha (Aries) Rashi for few more days.
