A US-based Saudi journalist and critic of Saudi Arabia’s government Jamal Khashoggi was murdered on October 2, 2018. He was murdered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. CIA report blames Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman for the murder of Khashoggi. Biden administration has announced some sanctions against other accused but no sanctions have been imposed against the crown prince.
